Capital Brewing Co’s new home base is the production brew house and tap room at Dairy Road, Fyshwick, Canberra opened September 2017.
As the Manager of our Tap Room, you are responsible for the in-venue experience of over 5000 guests per week and the staff experience of the bar and floor team, a roster of 20 absolute legends.
You will be working directly to the Director of Brewery Operations, with over 15 years of hospitality industry experience as a licensee of both large scale and small venues.
You need to be motivated to deliver an awesome guest experience, have insanely good interpersonal skills and be able to lead the team of legends here in the venue.
You need experience managing staff and working on a management team.
You need to be able to get things done and constantly working to improve the experience for our guests and team of staff.
You do not necessarily need to have a huge amount of hospitality experience to fulfill this role you just need to be a fast learner.
This role is a combination of nights, weekends and week day / day time work and ranges from being behind the bar pouring beers through to budget management. Most of your time will not be spent at a computer.
Your primary role will include:
Venue Management on Shift
Staff training and development
Staff rostering and on shift resource management
Managing staff culture and ‘the staff experience’
Managing the guest experience
Overseeing Purchasing & Inventory
Overseeing maintenance of the Tap Room
Communicating regularly with the events and marketing team to deliver on event plans and develop new tap room event opportunities.
